Delete your Tap2Detail account
This page explains how to delete your account on Tap2Detail, the mobile car wash and detailing marketplace app, for both customers and detailers.
How to request deletion
In the app: sign in, then open Account → Privacy & data → Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm.
By email: write to support@tap2detail.com from your account email and ask us to delete your account.
Deletion may wait until active jobs, payments in progress, open support cases or reports, or evidence holds are resolved. The app tells you why, keeps your request, and lets you try again or withdraw it.
What is deleted or anonymized
-
Your sign-in account is deleted and you can no longer sign in.
-
Your profile and public detailer profile are anonymized.
-
Your vehicle details are erased, and your vehicle photos and other account files that are not job evidence are deleted.
-
Your portfolio is removed from public view.
-
A detailer's service area and availability are cleared.
-
Your phone number, push identifier and in-app notifications are deleted.
-
Saved exact addresses and access notes on your bookings are removed.
What may be kept
-
Completed job history, booking messages, payment and payout records, legal acceptance records, and safety, support and fraud records may be kept with the booking record for as long as reasonably necessary for transaction records, legal, tax, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, reports and dispute purposes. They are linked to an anonymized identifier rather than identifying you.
-
Job photos (request and before/after photos) are kept as job evidence, generally for approximately 90 days after a job ends, and may be kept longer where reasonably necessary for transactions, disputes, fraud prevention, safety, legal obligations or enforcement.
-
Reviews you wrote remain but show as "Former customer".
-
Stripe keeps its own records under its privacy policy and legal obligations.
If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove Tap2Detail from your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple).
